Play-Well started in 1962 making hand crafted wooden forts. This expanded to the design and production of playhouses, swing sets, sandboxes and a wide variety of other products for backyard fun. Today, Play-Well continues to thrill youngsters with new designs to fit the changing needs of today’s families.

- Manufactured Just for You – Each Play-Well play set is made to order in our Pasadena, California manufacturing facility. Our play sets are not mass-produced by automated machines. When your order is received, production begins. We carefully cut, drill and sand each piece of lumber, then apply the protective finish. Afterwards, all of the components are gathered together, checked for quality, and readied for delivery and installation by our installers, who are our trained employees, not outside contractors.
- Made in California, USA! – The wood, steel, and plastic components that we manufacture are made in California. The majority of our suppliers are California companies. We source as many components as possible from U.S. companies. We support our economy!

Preparing to Buy
As you consider your play set purchase, please remember that a flat, level area is required. Keep in mind that a six foot clearance on all sides is recommended for residential playground equipment. Additional space is recommended for swingsets. Play Area Surfacing
An impact resilient surface that meets CPSC and ASTM standards is recommended for your play area. The surfacing should extend six feet all the way around the play set and should be appropriate for the maximum fall height for your play set. The material should be properly maintained to ensure the correct depth necessary for your play set.
